    Best WSU players when Cincinnati was in the MVC

    I'm feeling some nostalgia for our long lost MVC conference bretherens. This might be a good time to talk about the past. Cincinnati was in the MVC from 1957-1969. Who were the best WSU players from that era? Below is a list of cagers from the Shocker Hall of Fame that played on those years:

    Dave Stallworth
    Joe Stevens
    Al Tate
    Lanny Van Eman
    Gene Wiley
    Ron Heller
    Ernie Moore
    Jamie Thompson
    Kelly Pete
    Warren Jaballi (Armstrong)

      Bowman over Heller for me please. Otherwise good list.
      One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

        Nate Bowman isn't in the WSU HOF interestingly. Anyone know why?

          He was dropped from the team for grades and then went to the NBA. I would guess this is the reason why he's not in the HOF.
