I would normally say redshirt Midtgaard because big guys need time to develop and the frontcourt is so crowded but that would mean we would have 0 games of experience in the post the following year.

It's been 10 years and I've never seen one minute of those 10 years when Marshall was done recruiting.

Recruiting doesn't always result in adding recruits, but if there's a quality JuCo post willing to not get many minutes next year in order to get some rings and a sweet starting spot the year after, I'd expect to see another addition and another departure.

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I feel like the odds of landing a graduate transfer increase dramatically with a move to the American... Who wouldn't want to play for a potential Final Four, preseason Top 10 team that plays in a major conference?

Next year is not going to be very attractive for a one-year player.

            I disagree--especially if you're over 6'10".

It just depends on their goals. If it's a 4 year player who has redshirted his freshman year and is basically a 5th year, experienced center who wants to win a title more than he wants minutes, it could happen. There are guys like that. I think of a guy like Garrett Stutz, but in a world where his coach just got hired away to a bigger school and he would rather win a title than start a rebuild with a coach he doesn't know.

But if it's a guy who is desperate to have one huge season to increase his stock for pro-ball, he would need to go somewhere else.

Just like Reeves, if he can help right away, he plays, other wise, redshirt or Sunrise.

If our 2 signees weren't a JuCo guard and a post-graduate age, 7 foot GodBear I could see stashing a recruit at Sunrise.

To add someone, we're going to have to be really creative.

Depends on the player -- if it's someone like Anton Grady, who wanted to aim high and hoped to be playing in April (and who had no way of anticipating the injuries that would befall FVV and himself), why not? I'll grant you that there aren't a lot of obvious minutes available, though; and that's a legitimate impediment.

Any graduate transfer is going to look at the WSU roster to see if there's an opportunity to start. Nobody is dislodging Morris, McDuffie or Shamet from the starting lineup. A tall, athletic guy that can make a high % threes could challenge at the 2 or 3 spot, or a stud power forward could challenge at the 4 and move McDuff to the 3.

Plus there's also that forgotten idea that there might be ONE player in the whole darn U.S. SOMEWHERE who might actually want to get a masters as a graduate transfer and chooses a school based on that program rather than playing time.

                          I know its far fetched.
