      This is correct. USD got Smith's pay in the ballpark, and reworked his contract into a 3-year deal. He had been on a 1-year rollover contract, because that was the standard contract for all SD government employees until last summer, when the law was changed to allow contracts of up to 3 years.
      Smith called a team meeting to inform the team he was leaving for Drake. University officials asked him to postpone the meeting and give them 90 minutes. A few hours later he had the team meeting, announced he was staying, and took a team photo tweet.
