I'm pretty sure there have been rumors about Frank and Gregg trying to get something going. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if one of the schools is South Carolina.

"...We’re waiting on the ink to dry on a series with Baylor,” Shockers coach Gregg Marshall said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “It would start down there in Waco and we’ve also got Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on the schedule for next season. We’re not going to stop trying to schedule the best teams we can just because we’re in a different league now....”

In addition, in the podcast Coach Marshall revealed we are in negotiations with two SEC teams to add to the non-conference slate.

Any speculation on who that might be for this season?

I think it will be Kentucky. Isn't this exactly how blue bloods schedule? They think we will be down after next season. What do you wanna bet they start up a series for after next year? If that is their plan, I do think it will be ill-advised...

This whole schedule discussion makes me more and more excited for coach and his staff. It's a new day. Not that all schools will be beating down our doors, but we do have many new avenues to a nice schedule. It's gonna be dope!

Somewhat related to next year: a friend and SMU alum said that AAC conference rules state that students section cannot be behind the baskets. So if true expect some seat shuffling soon.
