So could have I, but they didn't even throw me out of the Old Chicago.

A hack who writes for a fanbase that largely can't read decided to make her the story. END of story. Nothing to apologize for or "own" or whatever.

This behavior, which appears to be substantiated, is embarrassing and she should wear it, own it, take the appropriate public criticism for it, apologize publically for it...and then let's move on.
I agree. Don't act like if Bill Self's wife had done the same thing, members on here would be jumping left and right to comment about it. Lynn made a mistake and she's obviously felt the burn for it. I don't have anything against her for it as we all know hindsight is 20/20, but the public spotlight can be a dangerous scene. If you can't handle yourself appropriately after a couple drinks, it's probably not a good idea to be in an environment where cameras are always watching. That being said, I hope she's not too hard on herself

Maybe there is a reason alcohol isn't sold at CKA. Some adults just can't avoid the temptation to embarrass themselves, when they should know better. I wonder how our fan base would react if Greg McDermott's wife had a few too many at CenturyLink and did what Lynn apparently did...please.

We'd know for sure she'd been drinking. I was hollering so loud you probably could have heard me outside. I hadn't drunk any alcohol all day. I'm not embarrassed about it.

          • Everybody plays the fool, sometimes. No exception to the rule.

When I play the fool, nobody posts it on twitter and if they did no one would care. Tempest in a teapot. It will blow over.

Well it wasn't a question of if she had been drinking (she was). It was a question of whether or not she was handling herself properly. It may be fine for the casual fan to curse obscenities at refs and be a bit over the top, but she should hold at least the same poise as Gregg does (not Canada version Gregg).

She was probably pissed that the committee gave a good, maybe great, team a 10 seed, which is something that the bj's didn't get. They got a 6.

As O'Connell was getting ready to put it in play, a certain fan starts screaming obscenities at him.
He looked up at the fan, then looked back down and shook his head.
He then bounced the ball to the WSU player and again looked back at the fan and shook his head in disgust.

It was kind of a microcosm of the entire afternoon.

                      That is all.
The head lock sticks in my head and then the no call afterwards.

If I had a gun with two bullets and was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and a Creighton fan, I think I'd shoot the Creighton fan twice.

SS, I can hardly come to terms, still, with the fact we got a 10 seed. Her husband voiced it all week. I think all the emotion came out during the game.

                        • I wasn't there. Don't know what happened. Even if I did know what happened I would not publicly speak out against Lynn. And when I say publicly, I am referring to Facebook, Twitter, and ShockerNet and all other social media.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

I will tell you what I do know for a fact. My daughter is a WSU student. She works part-time as a cashier at a retail store that the Marshall's go to as customers. My daughter has checked out Lynn Marshall's purchases on several occasions. She says that each and every time Lynn is sweetest person and nicest person to my daughter. There's not one bit of arrogance or pretentiousness in how Lynn has treated my daughter, ever.

We are not big donors to WSU. I have never met the Marshall's. My daughter is not even that big of a basketball fan. So there really is no reason for the Marshall's to treat my daughter in a kind way. But Lynn does it because that is the type of person she is. She is a very kind person. She is a loving person. She is genuine. She mother's the Shocker basketball players because she loves them and wants to take care of them. She wears Zach Brown's jersey because she feels like his contributions are overlooked. She is the world's biggest Shocker fan.

So why are you all throwing mud at her?

Did Lynn make a mistake today? Maybe so, I don't know for sure. But this is the time she and Gregg need their friends to rally around her and support her. Let's not openly criticize her. Let's show her the love and support she needs at this time.
ShockerNet is a rat infested cess pool.

Don't know why you're coming at me on this? The question was presented earlier in the thread of if there was video evidence of her drinking. In fact, there was. I'm 100% with you that we had a **** draw just like every other year. Think we were all emotional that it had to end after a helluva season. Only thing I said was she could have handled herself better. I'm with the Marshalls all the way. They've done so much for this city and the university that I'm not sure there is much that could lessen my opinion of them. Assuming you want the best for them too, it's in everyone's best interest to stay out of the spotlight for things like these, overblown or not.

This all day... Maybe if WSU goes 32-2 next year, with a victory over a P5 team they'll get a 7 seed. That is, if they win the Valley post-season.

                              • I guess Lynn made some mistake(s) as is being reported. However, I still think the Kentucky "media" are trashy, hack jobs. And as much as it pains me, I will be putting on my Lonzo Ball jersey on Friday night.
