Kelly was following the gameplan. He was destroying their offense. Which is why a terrible shooter took (and randomly hit) several 3s. If anything was a fluke last night, it was Evansville's 3pt shooting. They take and make less 3s than almost (might be any, haven't looked in a few weeks) every team in D1.

The guy that Kelly was guarding had hit 11 threes all year. He hit 5 last night. I guarantee that Kelly was told to back off a bit to watch the mid range jumpers coming off of screens.

In a game in which the WSU starters played 108 minutes and WSU 11-16 players logged 28 minutes. One of the most amazing numbers to me with all the "scrub-ball" that was being played is the 3 total turnovers. You get up 65 shots, play the bottom of the bench 28 minutes, and only turn the ball over 3 times, you're doing something right.

I think it's the 4th highest behind all of Fogler's teams. We hoist the bombs at much greater frequency though.

Tonight set the record for total 3s in a season by a Shocker team.

And Shamet tied the Freshman record for 3's at 79 with Chad Elston.
