I remember Kampman, Burns, and Howard were the beginning of the great thawing of WSU basketball.

        THAT'S a "retro" song?

Hell if getting old isn't surreal.

I take it this means Rob will be the color guy at SIU?
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Always loved Rob. I did think that he really had a higher ceiling than he reached. He had a lot of skills. I remember a game at Creighton when he went nuts on them. He was unstoppable that night. Dude was a really good player. Man. Burns and Howard as well. How fun it was to watch the program rise again back then.

The 2003-04 Shockers were the first team I had a season ticket for. All of 11 years old, they made me fall in love with the game. That said, I'm thankful for Rob and excited to hear him call a game. Pretty special to have him, as well as Miller for the Drake game. Very nostalgic.

I thought Rob would be the Valleys next Kyle Korver. I was wrong, but still really liked him as a player.

Also, anyone else notice how big those arm holes were on those tank tops?

Baggy was the trend back then. Jersey tops have been tighter in the past 5-6 years and the shorts are starting to trend above the knee now.

I remember Brauer's shorts hanging halfway down his shins. They were basically capris! LOL

I've liked having old players as special guest announcers. I thought Paul Miller did an excellent job considering it isn't his actual job.

Total side note, but it would be really nice to have uniforms like this with the yellow more prominent on the jersey. Wonder if we'll be in line for some new uniforms next year...
