    And I mean E-F-F-O-R-T.
This over and over. Zach's defense is exceptional every game and that is effort, smarts, and a play angry attitude. I know I take it for granted, but he brings that high-level D all the time.

Great to see them just grind it through the 2nd half like that.

How many assists for Steed? He can actually get them on free throws.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Did you miss my second statement? I said they were overplaying everyone at the three point line. It wasn't just a AR's thing.

            • With the tournament season rapidly approaching, it is not only great, but it is most enjoyable to witness the significant improvement that ZB, RK, SM, LS, CF, and RN have all made as of late.

Along with another solid JUCO guard and mighty Thor to boot.

                    • I don't want to complain, but around the 1640 mark of the 2nd half after Landry made a 3, Frankamp side stepped Richardson and hit a 3 (called a 3 originally) and Loyola took a timeout. Out of the timeout they deemed it a 2. On the ESPN replay, or at least the one they showed on tv, it's not clear at all that it wasn't a 3. If fact it looks a lot more like a 3 than a 2. Yet they changed it to a 2. Any idea why?

Edit: My mistake, Zelton called it a 2, pointing to his toe on the line at the time. Anyone else I'd say they were paying attention...I'm even more certain it was a 3 now.

                      • I thought it was a three, but didn't see raw replay

In the tournament against KU would be a good time. I think he would be motivated!

They had a thread about the game on Phognet. Saying some derogatory stuff about Conner, of course.

                              • Thoughts...

                                Casual observations from the lounger...
                                1) Shaq is a bad dude when he puts his mind to it. Really glad to see him shake off the ankle turn and get right back out there. Not sure he would have a couple months ago.
                                2) CF is now able to be CF cause he is hunting his shot. His body language is totally different now that the PG lunacy is toast. Still trying to find all of the SNers who pushed him as PG to come out of their bunker.
                                3) RK hit the trey yesterday and looked good doing it. He has stopped trying to be a slasher and instead is a 6'7" rim attacker.
                                4) MM does a lot of things that do not show up in a box score. His rebound late in the 2nd half and getting fouled was strictly due to his leaping ability and length. He is an athletic freak.
                                5) Nice adjustments by coaching staff at halftime. Do not under value the influence of CJ.
                                6) Shamet is smooth, smooth and more smooth. His length on defense frustrated the **** out of Custer, who can shoot the lights out if left open.
                                5) The 4 & 5 rotation of Shaq, RN, MM, & RK is working, but they still need DW to be a big part of any tournament run. It matches up well with Valley teams, but against the big boys in March will be a different story. He needs to get with the program and understand exactly the way HCGM wants things done.
                                6) Still think Keyser can be a big time player. Not hard to see the guy has some serious ability.

                                That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
