I'll have to pay more attention to the seating order on the bench. Just how far did he slide from? Does seating position apply to the first 10? 11? Now if he starts sitting behind some walk-ons....whoa!

For me, I don't believe Hamilton has "slid", but pre-season injuried freshman Keyser is now ready to play some 1st half minutes which does not come as a surprise to many on this board.

None of those things took away from his effort, his aggressiveness, or him staying mentally in the game. As long as he continues to bring those three things, I think "same old Shaq" is a thing to stay in the past.
It may be in the eye of the beholder. But I too, interpreted his first half attitude as a little victim-like. He was obviously frustrated by Thic Bol who was athletic enough to challenge him (not too many MVC players are able to make Shaq think about his move/shot. Marshall also got into him, telling him to make the shots anyway without excuses (he didn't care if it was a legal block or a 3 point make). As big and strong as Shaq is, he needs to finish against better competition he faces. Shaq settled down and layer better the second half. I hope it was another learning experience.

Maybe Shamet will be the point guard of the future. Maybe.

          Another good game for Kelly.

Hamilton is sliding farther down the rotation. Sigh.

Yeah, I could see Barney getting a few minutes as an upperclassman.

          Nice national anthem.

At the buzzer, there were, what 3,500 in the house?

Crowd responded loudly to the hustle plays, I thought.

          Are these "sighs" related?

Perhaps a statement positive in nature (Keyser making it a rotation of 11, not just 10) would have more clearly illustrated your intent than an easily misunderstood negative one about Hamilton?

          • I am disappointed that Hamilton is now number 12. I was pulling for the guy. I the last two or three games, HCGM has gone smaller rather than use Hamilton as the third center. I assumed most had noticed this but perhaps I was wrong.

Exactly. he was not good on either end in the first half, much, much better in the second.

I'll paraphrase Doc from a while back (can't remember if it was about Barney or not) and say that if Barney is getting any minutes when the game is in doubt, something is seriously wrong.

By those standards, he could be averaging 15 minutes a game this year.

LOL, I remember him saying that, and I agree. I said getting a few minutes as an upperclassmen. Kinda like JR has the last couple years.

Hopefully there will be less blowouts and more competitive games when we're in the AAC.

There would still be plenty of blowouts in the AAC, especially against the bottom half. In any case we still have at least one year left in the Valley of Mediocre.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Fair. I still would disagree, but that's definitely more plausible.

                          • This comment taken from the Saluki board:

                            Post game with Reis prediction:

"Length and girth give us problems Mike. God bless Michael, that little stinker went in the lane and got his shot blocked 5 times because he's not tall enough. And poor Thik and Sean, they can't play with the big boys inside. Give it to Greg, though. He does such a good job. But I'm happy and proud of our guys. I go back. We lost by 40 but good golly, they really competed tonight. I went into that locker room just now and it's like we've been in a fight. We're beat up. It's why I love this league so much. I've been getting my ass handed to me in Wichita for 15 years now. Thanks to our fans, thanks to our listeners."

                            Funny stuff!

Until you realize that was posted on Monday afternoon. Just freaking classic!
