I think the game is starting to slow down for Markis. Still gets on roller skates once in awhile but not so often.
Good move by Gregg to double O'Brien and make him give it up.
These minutes are very, very valuable for C.J.
The message about losing second halves has been received.Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I am an irredeemable spoiled fan I think. Shocks win by 42 and I'm thinking we played okay. Not great but okay.
Poor Landry had one of those nights with the fouls. Had no chance to really get in the flow of the game. Fortunate for SIU I guess.
SIU down a starter and a 6th man due to academic issues that just came up today according to 3's post game comments. That really makes dealing with the Shocks depth problematic.
I really like it when Shaq attacks a rebound like it's a double cheeseburger.
Darral certainly has his good points but the only time Sean O'Brien was effective tonight was when Darral was trying to guard him in the 2nd half. Still has a lot of work to do to learn that defense thing 3G keeps talkin' about. But the Big D has some major quicks when he wants to get to the basket.
Markis was the shining star tonight. No one else played great but nobody played poorly. C.J. and Eric were more than serviceable tonight.
Good year to be a walk-on/end of bencher for the Shocks.
Shocks did not seem to constrained by the undersized britches they have been wearing.

Shorthanded, I felt bad for SIU. Bad Deadpool.
Then I remember the game against them in the Kansas Coliseum. 94-59
Didn't feel bad anymore. Good Deadpool.
Conner had maybe the best 3 point game I've seen in 30 years. So solid. Great defense. 4 assists, could have been 8.
Holy cow McDuffie. A few of those takes to the cup were NBA like.
Really liked the effort from the team. Not the best game by any stretch, but that effort works most of the time. Have to do it against a good team though.

I agree with '72. We kinda played average. Lots of dumb turnovers. And still a 42 point crushing? Yikes.
I still have no idea what a foul is.
MM might finally be scoring enough for us to get somebody on the Valley First Team. He looks effortless when he does these things. I still think he's under-appreciated around here.
Lots of nice passing. And RK is definitely finding his niche. He looks way more comfortable out there. Rebounds, plays defense, communicates on the floor, plays with high energy. I didn't mind him being aggressive out there with a big lead. I really wanted him to finish but he just can't. But if he knows his role, he can be a big contributor down the stretch.
ZB on offense.. It's just hard to watch. The dribbling, the forced junk, and the 3's. Glad he made one but man he struggles on O. Good thing he brings it defensively.
Best crowd of the season on Saturday is followed up by another weak performance tonight. And for the record, both games were blowouts so don't give me the "it was a blowout" excuse. No student section, lots of empties. 6:00 games suck but whatever. This is how it goes now.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

He did say he didn't think even having Jesus on their team would have made a difference tonight. He said he knows the Lord works miracles but they would have needed a huge one tonight."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

I don't think we've made a massive jump, but I feel like game by game we're playing angry a little more often.
I like blowouts. I really like blowouts when we hold the opposition to 45 points.
I think we're close to going from a 10 man rotation to an 11 man rotation. It would appear Mr. Keyser has been working hard in practice and is gaining more and more of his coach's trust.
If SIU circa mid-2000s had been officiated the way Landry Shamet was tonight, they would have had losing records. No, I do not think I will ever forgive them for the "defense" they were allowed to play.
I am not sure of the criteria for COY. But 8 straight between 2 coaches seems convincing. It would be more if a certain referee knew what a blocked shot looked like.
Frankamp has really improved his in-game performance in the past 3 weeks. I hope he keeps moving in that direction.
He won't get the kudos of the last 2 games, but I was still impressed with Shaq tonight. He was drawing 3 defenders. I'm counting it as 3 good games in a row. Still several more to go to convince it's here to stay, but a good start.

We had a couple glimpses of the new Shaq, but more of the old Shaq. Wait and see, I guess.
Maybe Shamet will be the point guard of the future. Maybe.
Another good game for Kelly.
Hamilton is sliding farther down the rotation. Sigh.
Yeah, I could see Barney getting a few minutes as an upperclassman.
Nice national anthem.
At the buzzer, there were, what 3,500 in the house?
Crowd responded loudly to the hustle plays, I thought.
