Sure is slow responding this year. But I voted nine different addresses."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Not to sound like a curmudgeon, but...
It's that time of the year where the name and image of a $43B global industry giant gets plastered over (and over... and over... for months) every CBB news site and discussion forum for the total outlay of $349K in charitable donations, or roughly the cost of two to four, 30 second evening ad spots on one of the main networks.
Whatever ad agency thought this thing up needs a Nobel Prize in Advertising (if there was such a thing). Gotta be the cheapest click, page, and eyeball hit on the internet, per unit.Last edited by SHOCKvalue; January 4, 2017, 01:36 PM.

It is an ad campaign first and foremost (and second... and third... and fourth... and fifth... and...). The charitable function is way, WAY down the list, if it's even on it.
The fact they have some segment of the population fooled into thinking this is altruistic in nature makes the ad folks in charge of the whole concept about as happy as when Bill Dance hooks himself a 14 pound largemouth.
Not that I have a problem with the whole racket, in and of itself. Just get tired of it slapping me across the face every year from November until April.Last edited by SHOCKvalue; January 4, 2017, 06:02 PM.

Every F500 corp in existence does the former in a low profile manner every year.

The point is that they weren't going to give the money to WCH without this plan, so we might as well vote
