CJ Keyser missed so much time during summer and fall, but he is now starting to catch up. He is the most athletic player on team. But it hard to find playing time. He window of opportunity probably only comes when somebody gets in fouled trouble.

Mvc is like being in a meat grinder. Need to steal road games [editorial comment - WSU needs to be nearly perfect on the road if they want to have a shot of at-large]

Coach on Drake: doesn't really know much about coach Rudder. Says they play 1-3-1 zone and just jack up 3s.

Starting to prepare this team mentally for UNI - they are a team that has beaten WSU twice in a row.

UNI is only giving WSU a 730am time slot to participate in shoot around. Coach is not going to get his team up that early to do shoot around.

You would think that the conference would set some sort of parameters or flat out rules for accomodating visiting team shoot arounds.

I would love to know the reason, Im willing to give UNI the benefit of the doubt that the reason is legit and just crappy timing, but these games are scheduled well in advance so, im not sure what the hell pops up in these arenas....

Alternatively, we could have the team show up at the UNI shoot around and just stand on the sideline and give intimidating stares.

The UNI women play the Evansville women 11:30 Sunday morning which certainly limits the available time. Who schedules a basketball game for 11:30 on a Sunday unless you're playing games with floor availability?

Very odd scheduling. Even with that game, though, you'd think we could get in and shoot around at 9:00 or 9:30.

So, for those in the know, how far in advance of game time does a shoot around usually take place assuming no conflicts? Do they last about an hour?

Home scheduling should not put a road team at a disadvantage. If UNI is taking the "prime" shoot around time, they should be fined. Can't punish the road team for poor home administration

I could be mistaken, but I believe the shoot around is partially done to give the players some familiarity with the shooting background they will have during the game.
