The perfect 3 point storm will happen before this Valley Season is over and our Shocks will break our 3-point in a single game record. This will probably be a home game and might happen more than once this very Season. Nurger looked good today and it was great to get Shaq back. MM continues to shine, even with foul trouble the 1st half. AR may have been the 10th Shocker to lead us in scoring in a game but had 4-fouls which also limited his minutes played.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Poor Bradley. The level of talent on that BU team is awful. They're going through their 1990's WSU era, and you can only hope that at some time the tide will turn. A strong Bradley is absolutely key for a strong MVC, if by chance we end up stuck here. Arguably the proudest, historically best-supported MVC program outside the 316 area code.
As someone else said, this team is fun to watch when they torch terrible opponents. I'm not sure that really means anything, but whatever. All kinds of good showings today on individual levels though. Shamet coming into his own. Maybe some CF improvement. Some nice time for CJ. Willis making a case for MVC POY, or newcomer at the very minimum. Reeves stroking the ball.
The atmosphere at CKA is back, what with the apparent strong sales of the GA student excess tickets. Good job by the AD getting the word out there. We're back to mostly only seeing a few paid-for no-shows in the high dollar corporate/Splurge seats, which is a common trend since the beginning of time. Best CKA atmosphere this year, and it's not close. Out of all the decimation we've seen at CKA this season, this game and atmosphere was the most entertaining.

Absolutely on point about the atmosphere SV. I dunno if the start of conference season and seeing familiar opponents makes a difference or what. I honestly wasn't expecting much from a New Year's game at 1:00 against Bradley.
The GA sales have been a huge success. The student section's organization and energy is still horrible but at least the place is full.
I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere today. There is hope.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Shaq needs to get his rear end deep on the block and play the post better. When he receives the ball within 8' of the basket, he is unstoppable. However, he likes to shoot too much from 3 and took other contested long 2 pointers. He needs to concentrate on rebounding better, being in defensive position to block shots, and to get himself in a position to receive the ball in a position to score with his back to the basket. Nurger outplayed him today by doing these things. Shaq's going to continue to lose minutes to Nurger and Willis if he doesn't get with it.Last edited by shockmonster; January 1, 2017, 05:56 PM.

Shaq played as if he still questioned his leg. That's somewhat understandable. Walking away from HCGM when he's trying to give "instruction" seems more like the fresh/soph Shaq.
It was good to see Austin shooting with confidence again.
Fred, Ron and Tekele always handled full-court pressure so easily. This group seems to be somewhat indesisive and hesitant. I would like our press offense to be a little crisper and threatening to the defense.Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I thought Bradley did some nice things but they are seriously understaffed. Certain Thursday team.
People (other Valley people) need to keep in mind, being a freshman or newcomer at WSU is different than being one @ Bradley, or UNI or SIU etc etc.
Darrell Brown for BU, for instance, couldn't hold Austin Reaves jock. But 30 minutes and 12 points a game will have some people thinking FOY. Don't.
