The 3-point shot was the great equalizer in this game. INS 10-24 for 42%. The Shocks were 4-18 for 22%.
Indiana State was a bit better at the line shooting 18-24 for 75% which is about 10% higher than their season average.
A number of Shocks did make some big plays when we needed them. McDuffie with the put backs and the big trey in particular. Unfortunately, we had more than our share of brains cramps as well.
Will Conner be back in the starting lineup at the point. Darral developing some nice consistency. Daishon has not.
Zach Brown struggled on offense but I though he did a pretty darn good job of controlling Brenton Scott.
Who is this Willis Fellow? 25 points and 10 boards and that's what I'm talkin about. What's the Valley to do? No 'Great Scott' thanks to Brown and the Shocks tougher D in the 2nd half. No Murphy's Law, but he played pretty good. No Blue Moon so let's get these Shocks back home safely.
Bottom line is the Sycamores played their heart out and not that many teams will beat them at their barn like we just did. Great way to start out the Valley Race with a road win.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
