I agree, Scott was 3 for 14 from the field and 1 of 5 from the 3 with the rest coming from free throws. Good defense by ZB.

About half of those FT were from bail out calls

      • John Wooden used to Coach at Indiana State? Larry Bird found out there is life in the game of basketball after playing for Bobby Knight. Good thing he gave it another try and found a great fit. I did not see him play here at 21st and Hillside for the Sycamores but heard he was making long, long, bombs against us. I still remember the brawl we had there many moons ago at their barn and if I recall, they were playing us 4 on 5 because all their other players were relieved of their duties by the refs for fighting.

Coach Marshall strives to teach our players that there will be off scoring nights for the very best of the best players. Thus, Brown did other things to help us that made a nice difference in our win tonight on both sides of the floor.. For us to continue as road warriors, this trend will have to continue.

          • Win on the road when you shoot 22% from 3 and 67% from the line.

            I'll take it.

Of course, the Shocks were 58% from 2....without their biggest post player.

Pretty disappointing to not get to see shaq play against Murphy :) maybe next time I guess.

              • Watching a replay of the game and the Brown-to-Willis-to-McDuffie save and basket. Shocks may have got away with one. Looks like Darral stepped over the end line with his left foot when he went airborne to save the ball. Perhaps an example of great hustle being rewarded.

                • Willis is a bad Twitter follow. Ugh. I want to pull for him, so I unfollowed him.

I mean, I'm not sure what you were expecting. His Twitter feed seems completely typical for a college basketball player, much less a college kid. I can guarantee you that anything on these guys' social media is really nothing worse than stuff they hear at practice or the language used here on a regular basis.

Haha, I remember seeing D-Saucey and thinking I was gonna leave all judgement at the door.

                        • Will try not to repeat too much what others have said. I would
add that the team energy level was good. Would like to see DS
penetrate more. Doesn't have to be all the way to the rack but
enough to draw the defense in and open up better perimeter
shots - also he had at least two slow sloppy passes that could
easily have been turnovers. ZB and DS need to stop jacking up
the long threes and drive more and RK needs to drive less. Good
win. I am sticking with my prediction of one valley loss.
