OU Game Thread

I don't quite understand all the hate on CF. He has always been known as a shooter, but I think he has shown he deserves to be here even if his shot doesn't fall. He may not be 50% from three range but he has proven that he is not only a shooter. He hit a couple nice shots in the first half, he hasn't been the complete defensive liability that many (including myself) thought he would be. As far as playing the point, I tend to find DS more able to control the game. I just think that CF plays more under control. I haven't looked at a +/- report on him but at this point I will take what he brings for this team.

All that being said, this was definitely a solid win that should help us out a lot come March.

Don't say it's because he shot so many last second shots because maybe he needs to get the ball out of his hands in that situation because he isn't knocking any of those shots down. I believe CF also has the worst FG% of the 10 man rotation as well.

Great win today. This team is coming together and are becoming like the gritty and mentally tough teams Marshall always puts on the floor. Big road win!

1st half was not good, but we hung in there. 2nd half was better. The difference was when we needed someone to step up and take over.

Mr Smith stepped up and nudged us to victory.

I'm in big hopes he gets his confidence in tact. He was my choice on our whole team to make those 2 throws and seal the deal and should be hitting 90% from the charity stripe this Season and missed them. I have not got my arms around how that happened but my prediction is, it won't happen again in that same situation!!!!!!!

I don't think anyone is "hating" CF. But they are disappointed. We've heard for so long what a shooter he is. We keep hearing how his shot is off and his confidence is down. Well, we're disappointed in those two facts...hope that he turns it around...but some will be disappointed until he does.

As I said before, I no longer expect Conner to be anything other than a role player. I was not surprised one bit that he missed those FTs, he's got Chuck Knoblach Syndrome.

So what was the deal with Higgins? I read on twitter from Paul that he was yelling at fans?
Why the horrible descrepancy for fouls called? also read that OU was getting everything called and nothing for WSU?

3 years in the making. Number of shots made that mattered has to be less than 5.

Not that his misses today wasn't disappointing, but don't be too quick to forget his two clutch FTs last year. Was that his first game? UNLV?
