There were several point-blank, uncontested layups that were made by opponents Thursday and Friday. You probably are blocking it out.

I think we need to press more and use our depth to our advantage. Not the whole game but definitely more than what we are doing now. Our half court offense just isn't good enough to put up the points to beat a quality openent at this point in the season. Daishon Smith needs to play alot more. He is the only player that can penetrate and dish to an open shooter. It would cause problems on defense but CF playing the 2 with Daishon is probably his best spot. I think we also learned that Willis needs to go to the rim and quit shooting jump shots. He is very similar to Carl Hall but I think with time he will start to hit his jump shot, something that Carl never developed.

Are you getting angry because I'm right?

You need to dial things back a notch.

A lot of attention has been given to Conner Frankamp not playing well. I think that Daishon played well against Michigan State. Also Duff, and Rauno played well. Landry did some good things and Willis showed promise but but both were inconsistent. Shaquille played few minutes again because of foul trouble, Kelly didn't play particularly well, and no fault of his own, Reaves playing time may be limited going forward. There is a lot more for Coach to do besides fixing Conner for this team to be Top 20. If Coach truly believes that this team has depth, he will work on improving many areas including rebounding, and how to attack a zone. Many on here are to focused on who starts and not focused on who gets important minutes. We will see the changes coach advocates this week and may hear hints on his coaches show tomorrow. Meanwhile, we need to give the players a mental lift this Tuesday.

I've learned that we have 10 players capable of playing at a high level. I've learned that many of those players are capable of not showing up. I've learned that Markis and Austin are most consistent game to game. I think that this team has a higher ceiling than our last two. I hope HCGM has seen enough that he's figuring out the recipe of success for this group.

This team needs the semester break to get here in a hurry.
