Because the pg can pick his pleasure without any resistance. CF was giving 5-7 feet away to the PG allowing him to make any pass or any penetration he chose. Can't expect the three forward/centers to cover CF's man and stay home on their own, also

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:

A physician called into a radio show and said:

I's also bring Shaq off the bench. He would do better against another post that's already worn down a bit. I just don't think he'll ever be a guy that can stay on the floor for 3/4 of a game.

        I
A number of outside shots were over CF. In fact, I thought they were intentionally working on him. MSU was 11-25 from 3. They made a number around the top of the key where I remember them shooting on CF. They made none from the far corners, so most of the made 3s were on the guards. MSU also had 3 2 pointers well outside the lane. So, 51% of their points were from the outside, 18% from FTs, and 31% inside.

We learned that Wichita State will be fine. They will win 25+ games, then win in it all in St. Louis. We learned that they are much improved from Canada, but not perfect. We learned that they still are the class of the Valley. Other than that, its way too early.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I can agree with this. Let's see what this team does at Colo. St, against Ok St and at OU. Ok St may be a tougher game than I originally thought and we may have to count on that IBA magic but I still believe this team will win some games come March.

We are not watching the same game. Willis gave up three threes in the second half alone. Mcduffie let his guy step into one in the last couple of minutes. Zach Brown missed a couple of close outs in the first half.

Did a guard make a three pointer at some point in the game? Yes, but that is kind of expected in college basketball.

The UofL guard had a mini run against CF, but he seems to have one of those every time I watch him play. Could a better defensive guard had more success? Maybe.

The guy needs to do more to score the ball and get fouled. His defense wasn't the reason we lost either game.

I should also mention that I missed a few minutes in the first half after my deplorable fan behavior got me in tv timeout with the wife. Apparenrly something that came out of my mouth wasn't what momma thought my children should be exposed to.

So maybe CF got lit up and I just didn't see it.

What we actually leaned is, at this point in time, we are not as good as we thought we were, against top 20 opponents.

Our big's too often got out muscled, out leaped, and out rebounded We rarely stopped Louisville or MS players from driving to the basket, while we rarely were successful, and when we did, their bigs blocked a lot of our attempts.

And as pointed out, if our FG and FT shooting hadn't been as atrocious as it was, we might have even beat MS.

The season is still very young and we have time to improve on those areas that need fixing. But it sure would help to do it before we finish the meat of our remaining Out-of-Conference games with Colorado State, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

Bridges was the guy who lit us up..........not CF's man and most of the
other threes in both losses came from the corners........not at the top.
Conner plays good defense but his physical attributes keep him from being
                    a great defensive player.

It seems to me that if R. Kelley and Z. Brown are more effective with less minutes shouldn't they be coming off the bench and playing 8-15 minutes. If one or the other is playing/contributing (rebounds with no turnovers), then extend their minutes to 20-25. But I just don't think either should be starting.

I don't remember us getting beat on drives. We just seemed to get lit up from the outside and miss defensive rebound opportunities

I, too, thought there were some deep corner 3s, but ESPN's shot chart shows none: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bas...meId=400926752

MSU were working to switch matchups. I'm sure Bridges burned CF at least twice. Bridges may play the PF, but he's actually a guard and is listed as such. He probably rotates out from under to the top.

As mentioned in a previous post, you seem like a pretty reasonable dude to me. However, it also seems your better half has witnessed another side of your conduct.

Let's leave it to her to dole out the appropriate response when necessary.

                              That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
