  • I'm proud of our guys

We did not want to go 1-2. We looked awful at times.

But at the end of the day, we almost came back from an 18 point deficit against Michigan State and made an even worse Louisville game look respectable. I didn't always like the lineups we put on the court or what certain guys did, but as a team we did not quit. The potential is there and we will be a good team.

    That is all.

couldn't agree more... I am proud of the way they fought (at times). We knew it's a learning experience... we should be fine come March...

Absolutely. Humbled and back down to earth, but this team showed some grit. We have a good team but with plenty of room to grow. Hope Reaves is okay and gets healed up soon. Still excited about this team!

We played some bad basketball that's for sure. And our bad basketball is still able to compete at a top 25 level. So our good basketball, which we will be playing a lot more of in the coming months should spell trouble for the rest of the teams we play this season.

Always proud! This tourney showed what we needed to see: lots of potential, enough to hang with anybody, but WINNING against top teams takes that "extra effort" because there are a bunch of teams with athletic talent and potential. Hopefully lesson learned. I'd be happy to face either team again at the end of March!

HCGM said it was going to be like this. Some good some bad. We saw the good and saw some of the bad but they will use it to get better. I am very happy with the speed at which DW and DS have picked up our system and adapted to the pace of D! ball. Only good things on the horizon.

I think back to Hawaii when we lost to UCONN. A game we should have won and didn't. Maybe today was similar. But I have basically no doubt about this team's resolve.

They will get better. Yes they have to stay healthy, so does everyone else that plans to compete for a national championship.

This will be a GREAT season.

I fully expect that our players will learn from having played against taller, faster, and much tougher players these last few days and will put this experience to good use against future opponents.

Some of our obvious weaknesses have been exposed and we have plenty of time to correct them as it is still very early in the season.

I'm glad we were able to get some games in against more talented players so now we will be ready when we play Illinois State.

Oh Hell, no, I was thinking more of Southern Nazarlene.

And of course followed by, Colorado State, St. Louis, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

But if you want to skip to Illinois State, be my guest.
