  • A Few Good Men

I was thinking today about how Coach has worked on training up our players as good men. To the point that men like Fred and Ron are still helping out in Wichita. Fred sharing on Twitter a request for help for a women from Derby ( https://twitter.com/Bostock_JB/status/788568384778539008 ) and Ron is still helping out the Wichita Children's Home ( https://twitter.com/r6d2b0/status/799352550151622660 ).

So ... how about we add the little positive stories from over the years about the type of men we have had here at WSU?

Gabe Blair has opened up Pure Results Training to help train youth, but also trains pros. He helped with Hassan Whiteside's offseason training. Whiteside is known for going from league minimum to a league maximum contract.

If I'm a 12 or 13 year old I don't want to look across and see Cooz Elite warming up to play my team. Dang! Good looking group of young men. Heck, who am I kidding. They are probably 10 or 11. I stink at judging the age of kids anymore.

I believe Perez has a youth bball operation as well.

He does! I was so focused on thinking of all the Shockers out of state, forgot about Perez staying here and opening Next Level Hoop Academy.

Yep, they look 10-11, I have kids that age. A couple in the back look like they could be 12-13

What truly great examples of many gifted Shocker BB players lending a hand and giving something back to society by helping youngsters.

Gotta also applaud our various coaches who have recruited such a high standard of young men throughout the years as well.

“Darrel is Keaton’s favorite Shocker now because of the camp,” Adamson said. “When they were doing their drills and running, he stayed beside Keaton and took the time to help and guide him.”

This guy could be a great addition to the front-court.
