Making the extra pass is the secret sauce for this team, if they will commit to that they can be good.
I agree that it has improved and your theory as to why makes sense.

Did the same thing happen at KU when he didn't shoot well? The other guys on two teams have not gotten the ball to him in rhythm?

I'm proud of the games Frankamp is having now and proud to have him as a Shocker, but some of the excuses I see from some fans make that harder. If Frankamp isn't having the kind of year (or career) that some fans were expecting, I guess it's open season to throw the rest of the team under the bus because they just don't want to pass him the ball.

From reading some of the posts out here, you'd think Frankamp would be shooting 70% from 3 and scoring 40 points a game, but the rest of the team wants to see him fail.

I would think that if Marshall thought other players were either refusing to pass Frankamp the ball or were passing it to him when he didn't have a chance to make a shot, that those players would be sharing the sidelines with 3G.
You are the last person who will ever buy into CF. So I am not losing any sleep that you don't believe there are times where players miss the timely pass to CF when he gets open.

Of course there are times. But not near as many as you seem to believe. Every Shocker has been open at times and either got no pas, a bad pass, or a pass that was too late.

I'm just glad that CF fseems to have put the two years of being too nervous due to fan anticipation behind him and is playing well.

Those were early in the year and would indicate zero growth. While there is no way of proving one way or the other, the team is quite young, and I expected hiccups this year. Evidence would just as likely show improvement as a team in offense and shooting this year and passing in particular, maybe even showing improvement over last year.

This team has become better offensively throughout the year in part because it has learned, and hopefully continues to learn, to share the ball better than last years team.

I totally agree with the positive learning curve of this team, however, for them to be successful this season, that has to happen. We lost very key players from last year and had no senior leadership on the floor for this season. Unfortunately, as @shockmonster: said, as we stand, there is no way to prove it to the positive but to stay away from disproving it to the negative.

I will point out that the OSU home debacle was the next to last OOC game (what could be considered mid season thus far into the season) and that the poor performance at Il St was just 8 games ago.

Comparing any areas of "improvement" of this team over last year's team is very tough to do. Stats are skewed by a tougher schedule last year and FVV, Shamet, and Grady's injuries. I will say that I was very disappointed with both games of the Valley tournament that was very unexpected and out of character.

                Great Second Half

                This Frankamp is on fire.

That man played an excellent second half. You could see the confidence in his step. He knew he was going to score. He is fun to watch.

He took 13 shots, more than everyone else. It may be a good thing for WSU. He didn't take that many in the past

He can get a good shot basically whenever he wants. He hits a high percentage of those.

Conner with 4 assists to 0 turnovers today. He hasn't turned the ball over in the 3 games, all while averaging 15 ppg. His A/TO ratio is sitting at 4.05/1 now on the season.

Also, shoutout to Landry with 7 assists to 1 turnover today. He's at 2.96/1 for the season. Those two have become quite the duo.

Shooting 56% from 3 in his last 9 games. Is that good?

CF playing like he did in the second half gives this team a very high ceiling.

Not sure I would go that far. In the 1st half they were blanketing him and he couldn't get anything off. Opposing coaches certainly game plan against letting him get shots off, but once he starts feeling it and starts hunting his shots he can put the team on his back.
