It's hard to complain about a 40+ point win.

Farnkamp had a good game at PG. He looked like a PG, had significant assists for his minutes. Just 1 TO to 4 assists.

You saw that post from me. It doesn't bother me that he didn't score. He's doing a good job learning a role that is different than how he's played his whole life.

MM gets player of game. I'd have given it to Nurger.

Good night, I get it, but lets not get to full of ourselves just yet. Seems
like for the last 4-5 years my first game comment has always been great
defense and depth. We'll, it would appear it's becoming a tradition. I was
worried about defensive intensity relative to previous teams but not so
much now. Better ball movement and balance. Our guards and RN
really see the court well. Sunday night will be a much tougher test.

What a great debut! Hard to find anybody on the team that wasn't REALLY good. If I try really hard to knit-pick, Conner and Daishon didn't score. We didn't shoot well from deep.

The offense moved very well. The press break was perfect. Frankamp, Smith, Shamet, and Reaves handle and pass the ball phenomenally well. McDuffie, Brown, and Kelly are long, fast, strong athletes that handle well as wings/forwards and know how to score. Hamilton and Willis know how to score and go after the boards. Morris and Nurger are strong, can score, and pass. Keyser looked pretty good for a freshman. Simon and the walk-ons can ball too!

Shamet and Reaves aren't Fred and Ron, but they will be special! Too early to say how good they will be, but I'm going to enjoy finding out!

Great ball movement and it was fast, not the play catch back and forth variety we have seen in past games. A lot of very good individual and team effort all around.

Nurger played exceptionally well, hustled, and he hit a beautiful 3 at the end.

When our bench outscore our foes and Our D holds them to 17% shooting in the 1st half, we know we are cookin with olive oil. Who's the betta entry passer? 'The Pistol' back in the day or 'The Reaves'? Kelly cleaned the glass until it sparkled. We have lot's of new, very talented players. How about the performance of Rauno!!!!!!! Willis is a Man!!!!!!!

It all starts with defense. Yes, this was not the best team we will play, but our defense will get better too.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

And Keyser looks every bit the Cotton style lock down defender.

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                              Bad opponent.

Very encouraging performance. Some trademark Marshall-era defense and hustle tonight. I liked that a lot.

Hopefully Willis becomes OK with being a D1 player soon. We are so close to having a pretty monster inside rotation. Not sure if Hamilton's play tonight was a fluke, or if he is screwing up way less, intentionally.

I liked it that, even with a huge lead, if there was a loose ball, the Shockers were on the floor. Saw Wessel behind the bench, so they were probably getting encouragement in that area.
