That's not 100% accurate. He drove and dished to an open player in the corner at least three times during the exhibition. I'm with you, though, I wish he would shoot it more. That's my only complaint is that he doesn't shoot enough.

it was telling the way that reaves drove into the key, drawing the defense hard, and dropped off the pass to shamet easy as you please for the wide open three. reaves is the point guard of the future at wichita state.
We were plus 18 when Frankamp was in the game, best on the team.

it was augusta. imagine if he would penetrate the defense. like reaves.

yes, i know frankamp is the best we have at pg.. for now. for reasons of experience. east-west movement primarily won't quite do it by next march. no way is he the pg for the next two years. unless he learns to hard-nose it to the basket. see ragland

marshall demands that the pg be the toughest player on his team, always- does that sound like frankamp? can't be moody under marshall

I am just going to assume you took a long bathroom break during the game.

And I think your assumption is a safe one.

Reaves has his weaknesses too. GM has mentioned several times that Reaves isn't very quick. He may gain strength and quickness by weight training. I wouldn't count him out because GM said that but he needs to earn it. It won't be given to him anymore than it will be given to CF. Conner earned the first start on his late game performance against Augusta. GM just said that hopefully he continues to improve. Gregg is always pushing buttons.

i can't disagree with that. but i'm just seeing conner go mostly east-west. just like marshall said two weeks ago.

reaves pulled the defense in with his savy.

point guard is so critical. we'll see how it plays out this year. long beach state, mostly good since jerry tarkanian coached them in the early 70's, will provide the litmus test.

It was very impressive watching Reaves move the defense and make the right move. It makes me giddy for the future. I think the future is a little further away.

The ball can be put in his hands for plays from the 2 guard too. For clock plays, I wouldn't be surprised for Shamet or Reaves to make a play but the leadership that Frankamp displayed at the end of a close game is what Gregg is looking for. For his starting point guard. Gregg has mentioned leadership time and time again. LEADERSHIP is the attribute that our coach is searching for. Whoever displays poise and leadership under pressure will probably be our point guard

Pretty awesome from a freshman shooting guard!

The Frankamp/Shamet combo has some potential. They just need a good challenge, then meet it, and gain confidence from it. They'll have opportunities for that early this season.

I really like the way the schedule ramps up to B4A.
