There is always a way to rationalize anything, but we should never lose to an Oral Roberts type team in any type of a BB game to include Horse.

Whatever. It's not like he would go off on a ref in a summer exhibition game. #OhWait

I'm not questioning the man's competitiveness, merely not putting a whole lot of stock in the results of a scrimmage. I think there are a lot of things he's got to work out with this squad and don't expect a tournament-ready team right out of the blocks.

What odd outcomes. I'd almost expect the opposite? The controlled scrimmage with set stuff and scenarios could be explained off as we have new players and leaders working on the small things. Yet we crushed that. Then a regular scrimmage vs a less athletic (assuming) team when WSU should overwhelm them with raw talent, we lose.

Not worried, just a head scratcher for me, at least.

We won the two scrimmages by close to thirty points.

A bad first half after blasting a team in the first game isn't surprising.

I thought we lost the second by 3? I saw that from ******* but not sure if that was inaccurate or what.

He was combining the stats of the two.

Maybe the half court game needs work?

Every year I fall in love with a newcomer. This year, my love is Daishon.

I think we are gonna love him.

Probably more the result of our playing 11-12 guys against their top 7 or 8. When coach starts mixing and matching 11-12 players who have "never" played as a unit before against a unit that has experience together, talent sometimes doesn't show through (think WSU vs KU), especially when the system doesn't really allow for individualized play.

I'm with you up until "(think WSU vs KU)". Seems like the implication is WSU lacked talent compared to KU and only won because of their experience. That is far from accurate, IMO.

I think it was a little like going into half time with a 30 point lead. The intensity that built that lead often stays in the locker room and the big lead stays about the same in the second half. Playing hard when you have a big lead is somethingthat it seems has to be learned.

From HCGM comments and the tweet about his performance, sounding like Daishon is close to winning the starting pg spot. If that is the case, pretty impressive for an incoming juco.
