    Looks like they found a use for Peytons Scholarship. John Robert Simon is officially on scholarship!. Good for him. He's earned it.

    This warms my heart. Well deserved for a young man who has contributed a lot to this program over his college years.

      Sends a message as well. Hard work, humble attitude and you'll be rewarded. Not sure how much PT he'll see, but it seems like guys respect him, and he may be a leader in practice and off the court for these guys.

                      Happy for JR. It's good to see a kid who busts his butt for little to no recognition get rewarded.

                      In all honesty the kid is a solid player. I could definitely see him getting useful minutes on those early Turgeon teams, and he would have played a lot on those 90's teams.

                      Plays within himself, plays solid D, and can make a jump shot. We're pretty spoiled.

                        No doubt..... JRS > Matt Clark, for instance.

                        And yes, we as fans are terribly spoiled. It's a GREAT time.

                            Great news! This kid is pretty steady off the bench.

                            The rest of the Valley will be so glad to see him graduate. Doesn't he have pretty much a perfect record in Valley games that he has played?

                              That's just awesome. What a class act this program is. You know the NCAA didn't just call up Marshall and say, "About that Peyton Allen scholarship." Don't know who, but someone in the program did their homework and made more than one phone call, that's for sure.

                              I, for one, think John Robert sees the court more this year than year's past and not just because we're kicking serious ass. I think he's earned his playing time.

                              Congrats to the young man.
