Hahahaha. It is definitely true that I like to have fun but I am nobody's sock. I mean the CaseyGarrisonforPrez thing on mvcfans was about 85% a troll thing. Sadly I think I am 85-90% the real thing here.

I figured he would be sporting a rope belt.

I have a couple of them, but didn't buy them at China-mart like Casey. My problem with belts is my 'dickie-doo'; stomach sticks out further than my 'dickie-doo'.

Though these rope suspenders are OK in my book.

Yes, I am familiar with that affliction but in my defense my stomach sticks way, way out there.

It must have happened 5 times in the past year. This lady in my office insists that I am not getting the right size belt. But yes in general I think I have style.
Perhaps if you didn't go cheap...somewhat self fulfilling.

Sheesh! SIU fan here. This is the first I've seen of this--how embarrassing and STUPID for him to have said that.

When SIU comes to your place, I hope everyone in the student section is carrying a tiny pair of pants to wave around at him. (Hmm...or should it be giant pants? Nah, too expensive.)

"ISU men and women picked sixth in MVC preseason basketball polls" - Tribune-Star

By Todd Aaron Golden, Sports Writer
                      Oct 25, 2016

"...• Hinson on WSU and britches? – Southern Illinois athletic director Tommy Bell made waves last week when he said on a radio interview that Wichita State was, “getting too big for its britches.” Bell made the comments in relation to WSU’s flirtation with leaving the MVC.

Never one to pass up a good joke, SIU men’s basketball coach Barry Hinson paid tribute to his bosses’ use of “britches”.

“I’ve been calling them that my entire life. I was extremely impressed with the vocabulary used. I thought it was outstanding journalism moment to have that word used,” Hinson said. “We’re going to continue to read the Wichita Eagle to see if ‘pertineer’ and ‘reckon’ come somewhere into the conversation. If we can get ‘fixin’’ in there, we’ll be OK.”

Hinson didn’t partake in criticism of WSU or play into the notion that the Shockers’ study into their league affiliation is damaging to the MVC at large.

“I think the biggest thing is that it’s a big compliment that someone in your league is being considered for other conferences. It bodes well for not only that institution, but our institution as well,” Hinson said."

Lutz is spot on here. WSU is a mansion in the middle of a deteriorating, smelly, run-down trailer park.

                          ... No really, deuces.

Bolded for emphasis. Perhaps, WSU is either gaining traction in the quest to depart the Valley or other conferences have sent some test balloons WSU's way. The comment could indicate that this conference thing is further along that we have known.

Could be, might also be Hinson being Hinson.

Actually, this was not a Lutz comment. He was quoting a reporter (unidentified) from one of the other Vallley cities.
