    Well said Sully:
Over the past 10 years, WSU’s success in many sports has given it good reason to feel that way, especially in men’s basketball. Schools that resent that success have two choices — get better and make the MVC the kind of conference WSU wants to remain a part of, or complain.

      This.

If it's not painfully obvious enough, KC lives in a distant parallel universe.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

I'm glad AD Bell said he can be quoted on his statement just so he can't back out of it when he realizes how stupid it was (assuming he ever realizes it).

Even with WSU's success, the Valley is becoming a disaster. Last year the MVC finished 13th in basketball RPI behind such other powerful conferences as the Summit, Colonial, and MAC. The Valley was closer to being #17 rated than they were #12. This isn't WSU's fault (or UNI's). Creighton leaving the MVC helped exposed how weak much of the conference is by having fewer quality programs to hold it up.

And it's not just in men's basketball. How does Bell account for WSU's dominance overall in athletics recently. It's not that WSU is too big for their britches, it's that most of the other Valley schools need to get some cohones.

It means they are tired of being our bitches.

I can tell you who is too big for his britches in a more physical sense. I can think of two people in particular...HC3G3.3 and Bardo. Maybe THAT'S what the SIU AD was really getting at, and we all mistook his statement. He does work with Barry. I wouldn't put that type of comment past Barry...

Didn't Barry say that he has told his wife for years that size doesn't matter?

If there aren't any BRITCHES signs in the student section for our game with the Egyptian Dogs, I will be thoroughly disappointed.

The players on our benches are too big for these britches?

So the negative official statements by Valley administrators is up to two now. Patty Viverito with her salty remarks, and now Tommy Bell.

Can anyone remember ANY official statements going against Creighton when they showed interest in leaving the Valley? I don't remember anything official.

Well this thing is really making the radio rounds. It was broke by Suellentrop on Lutz'a show last night and made the rounds on Sports Daily today. I wonder if even a soul in Carbondale knows about it? I mean they should with their next-level media and sprawling campus outlets.

Not a peep on the message board as of 1 minute ago. Which pretty well sums up the point.

It's not just our basketball dominance either. We've won the All-Sports Trophy like 12 our of 14 years or something, right? And didn't we nearly set a record on points in the All Sports counting?

F*** the Valley. Sorry losers who would rather b!tch and whine instead of get better.
