This game. Kentucky game. Florida State game. 3 of the greatest WSU games I've ever seen, and they all ended in gut-wrenching season-ending losses.

Yeah. But at the end of the day, that's also a perfect example of who he was/is, and led to an awful lot of wins. It was absolutely the right basketball play. It just wasn't the right play given the disparity in offensive ability between the two.

I think most of us are 100% certain that 3 would have gone in. Shame, really.

I know it was an unselfish act and that's a good personable quality to have, but it really wasn't the best basketball play in the world if you knew EO's offensive abilities. He was in there for defense, plain and simple.

I wish Baker was a bit more selfish there and it actually would have been a better move for the team in the end.

Even if he shot and missed we would have probably gone to win. Maybe we get the rebound, maybe not, but the two missed free throws and the immediate 3 were game changing.

When reminded, I get mad about the fouls on three point shooters. As I recall with some difficulty these days, the Shocks fouled three opposing players, who were shooting 3 balls. As I recall with some difficulty these days, the shooters made 7 of 9 free throw attempts. It might have been 8 of 9.

One guy kept pump faking and the Shocks kept taking the fake. I hated it.
