I guess I don't see that as any different, say, than a Creighton player being suspended for a year from school and then coming back to play the following year. Happens in football all the time.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Uptempo. Averaging over 16 turnovers a game.

              So, what's his status.

Set out another year and be a sophomore?

Set out another year, but will be a junior?

              Something else?

My guess is that his major limiting factor will be the 5 years to play 4 rule assuming he doesn't qualify for any hardship waiver that would extend that.

He played his freshman year at Texas A&M in 2014-15. His 5 year window will close following the 2018-19 season assuming no hardship extension.

I doubt that he can qualify for a waiver of the transfer rule requiring him to sit out but who knows maybe something is available to him. Assuming he has to sit a year and if he enrolls at his new school for the upcoming 2nd semester he would be eligible to play in next year's (2017-18) 2nd semester and would have one more year of eligibility remaining after that (2018-19).

At least that's my WAG on his situation.

I've heard what the deal was through the grapevine. It had nothing to do with basketball, academics, or illegal activity. Just something personal that meant he needed to get back home.
