Sorry to hear that Peyton is leaving. Life has a way of challenging us on a regular basis and very few, if any, of us are immune from that. I wish the young man Godspeed.

Good luck to him and this makes me feel even better about the Shox.

Because we all know that Coldblooded was booted from this board just a few hours after his singular offense. *shakes head*

The post you were complaining about was removed same day. That's fast enough for me.

            Give me a break @shock:.

I think the mods over extend their power. For example I have been averaging 17.3367 posts per day since the end of basketball season. The over-sensitive mods have deleted 98.4563 of them, so SN'rs might be wondering where ole' SHOXMVC has been; is he alright; did he win the lottery and buy one of the Virgin Islands and retreat to it...ok, so none of you care...I get it. Hell, this post probably won't even make it to sunshine. Screw those mods!!!

So do we have any idea who will take Peyton's scholarship? Since the school year already started, is it just wasted for this year? Or can Marshall offer it to a current walk-on? How does this work?

it was up last night. I made sure to double check before posting ANYTHING about it. But now that it is taken care of I will withdraw my complaint.

I suppose a December transfer could also be possible.

I say give it to Evan's flesh that is still ingrained within the pores of Devlin Court.

If for no other reason than letting Evan's flesh give up the scholarship for someone else.

According to Paul Suellentrop's report on the commitment of Samajae Haynes-Jones yesterday the Shockers' one available scholarship will go to Samajae next year.

Not sure what 3G's options are for this year. Maybe he could award it to one of the walk-ons for this year if he wanted to. I don't know how having committed that to Peyton and with Peryton actually having enrolled in School this year impacts that, if at all.

Are there any rules that would prevent him from returning the second semester provided GM
                            wanted him back? Next season?

I don't think so. But getting the commitment from Haynes-Jones so soon after the Allen news should tell you all you need to know about where the coaching staff is on that front.

Wouldn't the fact that he completely withdrew from the school prevent him from returning and being eligible? Otherwise that would be a big loophole for non-qualifiers.
