I can't ever see a list of top 5 without Zach Brown. His defense is fantastic. And now he's scoring with confidence. Pretty good combo.

My 4 would be Brown, McDuffie, Shaq and Shamet in that order.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Did you mean Top 4 or did you forget to add your fifth? No biggie, not trying to make fun of you...legitimately just curious who your fifth is if that is what you intended.

Originally thought 5, then saw the 4, remembered to get 4 together but couldn't get 5 out of my head.

My 5th would probably be Frankamp but Willis has been really strong. No question McDuffie and Reaves are the most fun to watch.

I think one reason they are the most fun to watch is the they both seem to exude a sense of joy as they play the game. Not saying the other players don't have a love of the game or get great joy from playing the game but Austin and Markis seem to most naturally express that sense of joy. May just boil down to god-given personalities.

Outstanding observation. I also am a big fan of players that acknowledge their teammates. Austin gets an A+++++++++++++ here. It makes teams better.

This team really is a joy to watch.

CF, MM, SM and LS. My only knock on ZB is that he doesn't see his open
teammates well enough. Has happened quite a bit so far this year.

                  Yeah. He stinks!!!! Ha!.

I hear you though. There's still room to improve even though these guys are exceeding all expectations. Picking a top 4 is just simply impossible. Connor has been steady. DS had an excellent game against Long Beach. Willis has been a beast. Great addition to the team. And nobody has mentioned how much more active and strong RK looks this year. RN is better. More confident. Dang I love Austin. MM is a total stud. SM could be the best player in the valley if he could stay out of foul trouble. LS is struggling a bit with his shot but he is so dang smooth. Love his game.

But a legit list of the top 40 players in the MVC would almost certainly have to include at least 7 or 8 Shockers. At least. C'mon. No doubt about it.

I assume the ZB your are referring to is Zach Bush since Zach Brown is tied with Daishon Smith for the team lead in assists with 10 each after 3 games. Both guys have a 5 to 1 A/TO ratio bested only by Austin's 6-1. However, I would not expect that Zach Brown will be the leading assist guy on the team once the dust settles on the season.

I agree with that. I was surprised and disappointed to hear that a ref had to tell Marshall that if one of his players didn't stop trash talking he would get a technical. Have fun, don't degrade an opponent.

If I recall, it was Smith that got reprimanded, but I could be wrong.

I thought it was Willis, but I could be wrong as well.

Marshall mentioned the event in an interview and didn't say who. Just that he sat the player and only had to tell them that "you don't hurt the team". And that comment was enough to get them back on-line.

I'd be willing to bet that is exactly what he meant. I'd also be willing to bet that is not close to exactly how he said it. :)
