How I feel right now, leaving the thread open.
To what depths of darkness shall we reach?

Mom advised me if I want to stop this exchange to let you have the final word - so go ahead and give me your best shot but do not expect a rejoinder from me.
Garry Kasparov taught me that.Last edited by MoValley John; August 12, 2016, 06:21 PM.There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I always loved the "I did your mom last night" card. If you have nothing better than to suggest doing the deed with a potentially deceased corpse, then shouldn't the deed doing SN member's wife be a little worried and disturbed?

The best part is that the guy that is the most upset is the one that can barely write a coherent sentence. For Loyolas sake I hope that he isn't an alumLast edited by Stickboy46; August 12, 2016, 06:54 PM.

I will maintain my first post that Gregg Marshall lost it and went too far with his outburst, but it is not that big of a deal (meaning that it will soon blow over).
Other posters also said the incident was wrong too. Very few people (not sure there were any, maybe a few) said that what he did was ok and that he was justified in his actions.

I spent the afternoon in a social setting with a lot of Shocker fans. Probably wasn't a good day to be wearing my yellow "Play Angry" shirt.
The Shocker fans I encountered pretty much agreed with Fever. They thought Marshall embarrassed himself and the university. His reputation took a hit with them. One who said he didn't like what Marshall did went on to say, "but he was protecting his players". It's only on ShockerNet that I've seen, heard, or read any defense of Marshall's actions.
I think Marshall made a fool of himself and has some issues with anger management. Maybe I'm different from some SN fans, but I'm able to see flaws in a person and that doesn't affect whether I support that person. I see flaws in Marshall, but he has my 100% support. I'm not going to defend his actions, but that doesn't mean I want him run out of town. It's possible to see weaknesses in people and still admire, respect, and support them.
Marshall's antics are possibly making him an unpopular hire with the fanbases of some schools that might want to hire him. that's fine with me. I'll take any possible advantage we can get in keeping him here until he retires.
It's a bit like having the diamond in your wife's ring appraised after a few years of marriage and discovering a flaw you didn't think was in there when you bought the stone. You might be disappointed, but that shouldn't change your attitude on what that ring and that stone means to you.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
