  • Murry is on the older side of guys playing in summer league and with the most experience. He should look good. With the CBA rules what they are, he won't make the 15 man roster just to be stashed in the D League. Once you've been in the league for more than two years, it's harder and more expensive. He needs to straight make a roster (doubtful) or head to Europe.

    • All Fred can do is to keep doing his best and playing the way he presently is doing.

He and we have to hope the R's coaches have the smarts to notice how much better their team performs with Fred in there.

      • Article on Tyus Jones with some pics of Fred. you can also see the "foul" that was called that won the TWolves the game.
Tyus Jones, a second-year point guard from Duke, has helped lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to the semifinals of the NBA Summer League playoffs.

The ref's call at the end did not help, but the R's shot themselves in the foot over and over with dumb play down the stretch.
True. Watching Powell hog the ball reminded me of how Baker was shunned in the Pan Am games. Ball hogs seldom gave Baker a shot or chance Like Powell kept Fred from getting the ball or open shot.

And who quite often can't catch a ball that hits them in the hands, and when they do catch it only make about 50% of their shots inside 8 feet...

sorry, I'm a bit bitter about him playing with the bottom end of the bench most of the time.

If we can see it, chances are the guys who have 10x (100x?) more experience than we do and get paid (often quite a lot) to make their teams better will be able to see it, too.

Are these per game played or per 40 minutes?

Per game played if I am correct. They would usually specify otherwise

                            • Anybody know why Toure played so little last night? I don't think I saw him at all in the second half. He played just over 9 minutes, went 1-2, couple rebounds, a steal, an assist, and the best +/- on the team at +12, but then couldn't get on the floor. Hopefully it was just shitty coaching and not an injury or something.

I’m guessing they played only draft choices or players with camp guarantees in the second half. TM’s chances were already ‘slim to none’ to make the team so they kept him at the end of the bench. In the first half he played great defense and was the primary facilitator; I noticed how the score changed when he was in and they immediately went on a 24-0 run; he had several steals and deflections and got the ball to the open man. I hope I’m wrong and he gets a camp invite and makes the team.

The shot he took to end the first half was a little awkward; maybe he ‘tweaked’ his back? That would make more sense for him not playing at all. They could have won the game with him playing pressure defense on Valentine. Toure’ sure isn’t a ‘ball-hog’ like most of his teammates. It’s so frustrating to watch selfishness in basketball. I guess we’re spoiled.

After watching the entire second half without Toure’, I was pissed and ready to kick someone in the nuts; important ‘beauty sleep’ was taken from me.
