And then he doesnt play in the OT and they get beat, how Knicks of them.

He was solid last night. A couple of passes were questionable, however the 'receiver' should have caught them. He really looked smooth running the point and was getting the ball to the right people and played solid defense. It's obvious he makes the team better and his teammates enjoy playing with him. In all fairness, he might have been gassed when he came out at the end of the 4th quarter. He played a lot of consecutive minutes during the comeback. Last nights performance should earn him more minutes.

So, knowing the Knicks, I'll guess he's headed back to the D-League soon?

Reading through the play by play on ESPN it seemed like the Knicks had a couple of chances to win at the end of the 4th. What happened?

They took Ron out with 1:48 (or something like that) remaining. Removing a winner that just helped your team come back from 12 down isn't necessarily a recipe for success. It is however the Knicks MO.

Porzingas fouling out and Phoenix hitting some big shots down the stretch. Of course Carmelo tried to play 'hero ball' and took a couple of 'guarded' shots towards the end of regulation. Ron missed a tough layup down the stretch also... it was well defended, but I'm sure he'd like to have that one back.

                  • Who is Jeff Baker? :)

"That, coupled with Carmelo Anthony struggling with his shot, were ultimately too much for the Knicks to overcome. They got solid contributions from the bench, as Jeff Hornacek went with an unorthodox lineup of Kristaps Porzingis, Kyle O’Quinn, Justin Holiday, Jeff Baker, and Lance Thomas to get the lead in the fourth quarter."

The New York Knicks suffered their first loss of the road trip tonight against the Phoenix Suns. Check out our recap and highlights from the loss.

It's amazing how a name as simple as Ron Baker can have possibly gotten butchered as much as it has over the last few years. I mean, "Van Fleet" I can at least understand because thats pretty small of a distinction, but when it comes to Ron, it's like names are just getting made up on the spot.

Ron received some good publicity last night during the broadcast. The Phoenix Suns announcers talked about him being an author and signing 6000 (yes, 6000, not 5999) “You’re Too Big to Dream Small” books. Of course they mentioned him playing at Wichita State… and they mentioned he was from Hays, Kansas instead of Scott City.

For those who live in a cave (make sure and watch Ron visiting with Noah)… :)

I suppose that is understandable depending from where they got their info and how you define place of origin.

According to Ron's bio on goShockers.com he was "Born March 30, 1993 in Hays, Kan"

                            Wikipedia includes the same info.

                            • My guess is that the closest hospital is in Hays...only possible explanation. I know their family moved once or twice when he was younger too.
