  • Which mid-major teams have the rosiest 2016-17 outlooks?

    ESPN

    1. St. Mary's
    2. Dayton
    3. Gonzaga
    4. Rhode Island
    5. Wichita State
    6. VCU
    7. Harvard
    8. Valparaiso
    9. Princeton
    10. Richmond

    5. Wichita State Shockers

Life after Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker won't be easy in Wichita (Evan Wessel is gone as well), but Gregg Marshall at least brings back a
young nucleus that includes Zach Brown, Shaquille Morris, Markis McDuffie, Rashard Kelly and Conner Frankamp. I'm of the opinion that
Marshall could take you, me and three Division I players chosen at random and transform us into an excellent defense, so I have few
worries about WSU on that side of the ball next season. The Shockers' fortunes will instead depend on how well they replace VanVleet's
    and Baker's scoring.

The College of Charleston got better this week as Matt Braeuer will be joining Coach Earl Grant's staff.
