3G Gives Shocker Tennis Team a Pep Talk

Coach Louderback invited Coach Marshall to give the Shocker men's tennis team a pep talk heading into the MVC/AEC Tennis Championship this weekend the winner of which will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. I doubt there will be any at-large bids for these teams including the Shocks.

Shocker men open the tournament against either Illinois State or UMBC on Saturday at 10:00am.

At about the 4 minute mark Coach Marshall said that he has a recruit coming in this weekend (coming in today I believe) and with his family (about 6 people). Coach Marshall said that they would probably try to stop by the Shocker match on Saturday morning. So if anyone is at the match perhaps you can do a little recruiting PI work if 3G shows up with a group of folks.

Sounds like the recruit is Steven Solomon from West Virginia. If he comes to WSU next year it would be as a preferred walk on.

West Virginia has also offered him a walk-on spot and he has offers from several D-II schools.

His comment regarding the recruit is at about the 6:50 mark.

Did anyone else catch his comment about Illinois State? "we call them the deadbirds" (at around the 6:20 mark) -- @ShockerFever: will be pleased.
