      Non-Con not considering injuries: D+
      Non-Con considering injuries: B-
MVC regular season: A- (thought about B+ as I hate losing a home game)
      MVC tourney: D
NCAA not considering "the screw": B
NCAA considering "the screw": A- (holding on to our come back against Miami and losing the next game would be an A)

Non-con: B (beating Alabama or USC was doable without Fred, and we should have had Seton Hall despite the refs)
Conference: A+ (I don't know how going 16-2 and winning the league by 4 games is anything other than this)
Post Season: B (destroying Vandy and Arizona, then coming up just short against Miami was about as best as could be expected given the circumstances)

A- Tournament play given the circumstances was pretty fine.

So, those of you grading the conference and post season. Which one are you including the Valley Tournament in? We did poorly in that and that should reflect in one or the other.

The Shox would have advanced a lot further in the Dance had this team simply shot better. Comparing ourselves to the National Champions, Villanova shoots 48 percent overall and 36 from the three. On the other hand, the Shox shot 42 percent overall and 32 percent from the three.

No kidding. The "Committee" sure took notice.

                  Pre-Conference----C.
Conference A----can't give them an A+ with 2 losses---to me, an A+ means you did nothing wrong.
Post-Season---C+ Bad job in the Valley tournament...Good job in the first two NCAA games...not able to finish and poor shooting pulls this grade way down.
Over all score for the season---B

Man, 2 conference losses, with 1 on the road and 1 to a top 70 team and that gets you B's. Do some of you expect perfection?

                        I'll go with
                        C+
                        A
                        B+
                        Deuces Valley.
                        ... No really, deuces.

                          This is the correct answer.

C+ Did the best we could with the injuries. Losses at Tulsa and Seton Hall, both of could have easily, maybe even should have, been wins. Win those two and it's a B+ and we aren't in the play in game and likely went to our 3rd Sweet 16 in 4 years.
A Crushed the Valley like a grape under Shaq's foot.
B+ Beating Vanderbilt then Arizona typically means you're in the Sweet 16. Unfortunately (see above) we were stuck with the play in game.

It wasn't the season we all expected or wanted due to circumstances beyond our control (injuries to Fred, Landry, and Anton). Despite earning the "What Could Have Been" title it was still great to watch Fred, Ron, and Evan's last ride while simultaneously saying hello to some exciting new players. Thanks for the ride fellas.
