  • Miami fan here

I wanted to come by and say that you guys really impressed me, and that I think I speak for all Miami fans when I say that we're glad this one is behind us as we all knew it would be a ridiculously tough test. I've loved watching you guys play since Marshall took over, and I wish we could have avoided each other this early in the tournament. How do you guys look for next year? Also, my wife always picks the Shockers in her office pool based on your mascot.

Miami is a very impressive unit. Your defense was balls-out starting the game. Your offense is a pretty well-oiled machine. It goes without saying by ARod was the best player on the floor today. We caused him to cough it up a few times but the dude can play. Clutch, clutch shots. Mcclellan is also very impressive.

You withstood our rally and punched us a second time. Your length and athleticism is pretty stellar.

I think (and hope) you can make a run at KU in the E8. I know I'll be cheering for y'all.

Thanks for coming by and the nice comments.

Coach Marshall always gets the best out of all his recruits. Shockers are losing 5 seniors, 3 that have been here 4,5, & 5 years. Anton played valuable mins, bush not as much.

It will be a change not seeing 3/5 of the lineup not out there (baker, fvv, evan). Should be a faster offensive team, but much less experienced.

Respect for Miami. As a Shocker fan I wish this game was played later in the afternoon or evening. We were flat coming out and to the Hurricanes credit...they went ballz out the first 10 minutes and took advantage. Pretty good team you got there this season and I'll be pulling for you guys the rest of the way!

To answer your question about next year for the Shockers. Well...Coach Marshall has capitalized on the last 6-7 years of success and reeled in some nice recruits again. We'll have a minimum of 4 Top-100 recruits on the roster and a couple P-5 transfers. Marshall woke up this sleeping giant and we'll be crashing parties once again. Peace to you and enjoy your team the rest if the way!

If everyone had to play an 3 games in 3.5 days then that would be fair for all parties, hope the NCAA got what they wanted with that gauntlet

Sadly tv ratings and P-5 "protection" rules the world. Didnt help that "bubble university" was in our bracket again. Don't think they were hoping to meet us again. CBS did them a big-time favor giving Wichita every possible disadvantage.

Hopefully we'll see you guys down the road, maybe for some regular season games. We lose Rodriguez, McClellan and Jekiri, but get Reed, Newton and everyone else back, plus a transfer from San Jose State who led them in scoring as a FR and SO and will be eligible after sitting out this year. There are also rumors we might look at Canyon Barry, Rick's son who is a grad transfer from Charleston since Rick is best ever to play at Miami and all. What we're really excited about is our incoming class. It's ranked #6 by 247 sports and is consensus top 10. Easily our best recruiting class ever.

How about we start a home-home series about the time that baseball spring training kicks off??

Miami played an outstanding game today and we did not. Credit to them. Excellent team that moves on. Congrats.

But man am I proud of our guys. Love this team so much.

Thanks for the kind words, I have Miami in my bracket to make F4 so I was not surprised by yesterdays result.. Miami has impressed me every time I have watched them play late this year, notably @ ND, Duke and even a loss to UVA in the ACC semi. Maryland (if they win today) will be a test and KU is playing well but good luck the rest of the way.

I'd love for us to not have to play Kansas (if we get by Nova). MD would be nice. We had their number when they were in the ACC. Either way, I just got my tickets for the Sweet 16 game on Thursday.
