I'm not sad because of the loss of talent and leadership - we have the former coming in or already there, and the latter will develop under 3G; I'm sad because I won't ever get to see FVV and RB representing our team/school/town ever again. That is the loss, and it is tangible.

I am pumped about next year though. Those saying we're somehow now done should be summarily dismissed due to a ridiculous amount of ignorance towards this program and it's current position.

Kelly was brutal at finishing shots this year. But hell, lots of players didn't hit shots today. His just came at horrible, momentum killing moments.

Mentioned this in another thread, but at least Kelly was aggressive, made some defensive stop with charges, rebounded. Zach Brown has looked scared and timid for the last month. Him and Wessel became token starters before being pulled.

They did great! Between the short rest and Miami having one of those days when even their garbage was going in the hoop, they could have rolled over but fought back and made it a game. They made Miami earn moving forward.

Thanks Fred, Baker, Wessel and Grady. It was a entertaining ride this year. To Fred and Ron -- it will be fun to see you go into the Shocker Hall-of-Fame. You will be remembered.

If you have ever seen a frogs hair, that is pretty fine fsf. Thanks buddy, back at you.

Ok. I missed the game because of work, but just saw their coach speak a few words. I am pretty sure I don't like him.

I didn't like him at George Mason.

At least one K-State fan has melted down to the point that he doesn't think defense requires effort. Exhibit A:

"Statistically they had like the best defense in the NCAA and they're very rough looking offensively but no, they don't play hard."

In the "good game" line, I thought he was pretty rude to Coach Marshall.

Heartfelt thanks to our entire team of coaches and players for bringing us another fun filled, exciting, and most successful bastketball season whereby, for the fifth straight year, we made it into the NCAA tournament and definitely showed we belonged, and will continue to belong.

We will deeply miss Fred and Ron and will never forget their exceptional BB skills and the true pleasure it was to see them display their talents game-in and game-out for four entire years.

So we close one chapter and move on to the next, although, unfortunately, we have to wait seven long, drawn out months, for next season to begin.
