OSU's MBB program has reportedly been bleeding orange acres of money, and now they are going to have to buy out the remaining $8M or so of Ford's contract. They're not going to then also pay their new coach more than accomplished and long-tenured football coach Mike Gundy makes (Marshall already makes just slightly less than Gundy). An Alabama-sized offer would never happen, even if they wanted to spend the money.

If I was OSU I would snag Underwood up fast, before TCU goes after him or when KSU gets smart. Heck the last great coach there grew up in Kansas as well. Worked once, try it again.

Completely agree-OSU fans think that he would bolt for Manhattan as soon as Weber is gone if the Cowboys hired Underwood. But it would be worth the risk and I am not convinced he would go to a place he wasn't wanted the last time they looked for a coach.

So Underwood, Chris Beard and Bryce Drew all would be good hires. Goatlube would be a train wreck which would give me great pleasure to watch
