Needed big men that stayed out of foul trouble and stayed consistent. Didn't get it.

Ron and Fred not looking tired and frustrated.

Evan not trying to be Steph Curry.

    Frankamp equaling Steph Curry.

I am ready for the next phase. It gets hard to watch the type of offense that we evolved into over a three year period. We took a strength and turned it into a weakness by over emphasizing the pick and roll.

Too bad fred didn't hit the game winner. But it is what it is.
I think wsu gets in at the 12 line, will likely lose and we move on.

Ah bullshit. Get behind your team or go back to the KU board.

Haha? Insecure fans like yourself are the reason college sports get less popular every year.

This. x100. Offense was way, way to pick and roll heavy the last two (and a half) years.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

Did the 5 lost seconds really take away our ability to run plays and get easy baskets?
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

No, but a persistent second half drought in many of our games does. Today, in the second half, the Shocks went 6:17 without a field goal while UNI converted on every possession.

I really like watching college basketball but when we lose I lose interest. If we get in at any
seed my interest will be renewed. If not, it's going to be a long 8 months. Hope UNI wins
tomorrow, we get in and we both make it to the S16

Seriously though, why the hell do we try to do a ball screen on every possession? The play where we needed a bucket and Connor caught the ball as the clock expired, wtf was that? That ball screen that had failed a million times was what we came up with as our must have play? But honestly, it doesn't matter, if we would have just shot even 20 percent from 3 we win the game.

A statistical quirk I just noticed as I was glancing at WSU's totals as they await their next assignment: so far this season, the Shocks have more steals + blocks than turnovers. My first reaction was wow, that's pretty remarkable. So I checked back, and it turns out they've done that same thing for three years in a row now, and this was actually the least strongly positive ratio of the three. Interestingly, the last time they came up short (i.e., more turnovers that steals + blocks) was in their Final Four season.

I'm not inclined to spend a lot of time looking at other teams' stats to check, but does any of our stat mavens know if this is as unusual an accomplishment (however esoteric it may be) as it seems that it could be?
