10:12pm - Stretch the ass; tired of sitting on my hands
10:22pm - Hey, we're gonna do this! Woooooooo
    10:28pm - Silence
10:32pm - Lonely quiet walk out of Scottrade

So many red bird fans about to jump on their forum. Hilarious. They went from being the top team in the valley to seeing no improvement next year and their coach needing to be fired. You read that correctly. The real COTY needs to be fired.

There was one jackass in particular a section over from me at yesterday's Shocker game. Baker was talking to a ref during a timeout and he screams "SHUT UP BAKER". It was a non controversial time in the game and a rather quiet timeout. Also yelled at Marshall a lot. Then he would smirk at people in my section (including my wife) when Loyola was making runs. God bless my wife because all she did was smile and wink back.

Then of course resident jackass over there was quiet as a church mouse when we finally came back and won. I hope his Redbird game was utterly miserable for him. Karma sucks, bro.

Good grief that game. Illinois State plays the worst, most aesthetically insulting brand of basketball. They can't layup. They can't shoot if it isn't behind the arc. They stay in that zone until the bitter end but they still allow drives. Basically their game plan is "pray the 3s fall and that we don't foul out."

The best part of me would like to have a little sympathy for them, but after watching that game, no. They need to not play basketball any more this year. At least not around me.

After the final buzzer last night I stood at the front of the luxbox, pointing across the arena at the Redbird fans and laughing a deep, bitter, yet very satisfying laugh.

AND I successfully got back to the hotel without getting my ass kicked. Yay me!

Someone please tell me the NIT thing is real. Please. I need this. It's the little things you have to not take for granted when trapped in a POS conference.
