Ron you played an excellent game and took us out of what would have been an NIT invitation. You were Mr. Big shot today and bailed us out when we needed it. It must have reminded you of some of the mentality you exhibited in the Gonzaga game a few years ago.

Nice to have Bookend All-American guards as Shocks going down the stretch in that game. Baker gets second guessed by our foes as to his worth, but not today. He makes the off-balance 3-pointer, gets fouled, no call. No Probs. because he was also playing great defense.
FVV made 8-10 clutch throws down the stretch and what about the 6 blocks by Shaq? As we contrast where he was at with 3G earlier when we went 0-3 at the early Tourney to now, it is awesome to behold. Now That was some rim protection. Shaq has more work in the trenches this Season followed by 2 more Seasons where he will have to adjust without FVV who took Shaq under his wing and believed in him.
In the scheme of things, 3G preaches, teaches, and stresses Defense and this win required plenty of that going down the stretch with us behind until very late, making key plays on both sides of the hardwood.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports. -
