Missouri State to leave the MVC

With the recent addition of Coastal Carolina to the Sun Belt Conference, Missouri State no longer had any other options to sustain their athletics department. Today, Missouri State announces its departure from the Missouri Valley Conference and will now be taking buy-games from the Harlem Globetrotters. Hi-Lite Bruton, the Captain of the Globetrotters said recently about Missouri State "They love to lose, and they allow so many dunks and alley-oops, it was a natural fit with the Harlem Globetrotters. We love putting on a show, and they love letting us do it. We look to make this a valuable partnership going forward."

The Washington Generals said they would not be selling the rights to their name to Missouri State, they didn't want to taint their reputation of putting up a fight.
