Totally plausible. Coach Cal is as dirty as they get and would fit in perfectly at KU considering his stint as a JV coach there in the 80s.

And why would you think most Shox fans would care one way or the other. It's like asking if we care if the Big East adds another 6 teams. It sounds like this is nothing but a "slow day at the office" posting? However, if there are people out there that want to waste time discussing this, go for it. More money is something more everyones want, no matter how happy they are in their present situation.

But next year's KU team looks much different than those teams that have kept Bill happy in the past. I don't think it's likely by any means--and I think Self has, naturally, denied interest in the OSU job--but stranger things have happened.

Well, the job offer will come towards Self, it's inevitable. Ignoring the impossible pressure that kind of contract would bring to an alma mater coach (and Self's repeated denials), and entertaining your thoughts, say Self does head to OSU.

Calipari would never come to KU. He has it all at Memphis. He'll win his conference every year - an elite job with absolutely no pressure. He'd be insane to come here.

I'm not sure who KU would get (Izzo? Stallings? Turg? Matta? Miller? Dixon?) but I'm sure he'd be a hell of a coach.
