I hope we pound these guys. If for no other reason than to get their fan base to STFU. I usually read the other teams boards and ISU's is by far the worst IMO. With the exception of the two that post here, their whole fan base, coach and team can go to H3LL.
It's one thing to play hard and aggressive--like we do, but not dirty--which they do IMO. I just hope all our players remain uninjured. I despise them worse than Creighton.

I don't want to discount ANY team and or their preparation and effort. If I were ISU, I'd be looking for a lightning fast start. Teams have shown the occasional ability to hang with the Shocks for 10 minutes, maybe up to halftime.
This team is too dialed in and too deep for the vast majority of teams in the country, and every Valley team. BUT, if the Redbirds could come out of the game and fire in a bunch of threes, get the crowd involved, and can grab some kind of significant lead, say 8+ points, even if it's 8-0, then they could force the Shocks to play a game they aren't familiar with of late...playing from behind.
How would they react? Would the younger players panic? Make mistakes trying to do too much? I think that's ISU's only good chance. Not that they can't win a grind it out back and forth battle, but to do that, they'll need WSU to play off their best, way off their best if you ask me. This team is just too good right now.
So if the Redbirds want to try and control their own destiny, a fast start with a ton of speed and made shots, a taking a few chances to get there, seems like their best plan.

... plus lots of other good points ...
However ...
Looking at the ISUr recent more solid performances, I notice they are versus the lower tier teams in the league.
I honestly think their optimism is based on fools hold. Plus, as many others have stated, this WSU team is locked into their mission. Fred, Ron, Evan, Anton, et al, will guide the youngsters through any adversity like the mentors they have become.
I really don't think this one will be very close.Last edited by Shocker85; February 6, 2016, 12:06 PM.Basketball Season Tix since '77-78 . . . . . . Baseball Season Tix since '88

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Drunk post alert
A buddy had a hole-in-one on #9 at Marion CC earlier today, 8 iron from 153. Lets see if I have the math right. #9 + 1 stroke + the $1 it cost me = 11. Shox win by 11 tonight. Apologies to @pogo:, we killed the biggest bottle of Crown that they had in Marion. GO SHOX!!One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.
