Here's the deal. You know what you get when redbirds receive Shock Tweetment? "Bye, Bye Birdee!!!" There is nothing much Normal when we play at Redbird Arena. We were 7 down with around 40 ticks on the clock and then came the "High Karate Kick Foul" not called at first? WOW!! Then the refs did a "birds eye review" on the monitor and the redbirds did a nose-dive like a B52 from that moment on. Shockers won!!!

The Redbirds did defeat Loyola tonight so are now 13-11 and 7-4 in this here Valley Free For All. The Shocks will be RedBird watching for Paris, Hawkins, Purcell, and McIntosh. Their coach is Dan Muller who had much success winning against our beloved Shocks as a player for them many moons ago, but not so much as a coach. I thought them losing Reggie Lynch who was a transfer before this Season began hurt their squad. Gregg will remind the Shocks that teams like the Redbirds will not be taken lightly in their own barn.

The Shocks will defeat the birds this game by 11 and get them all greased up for the 22 point win we will get on Senior Night at 21st and Hillside. Losing both games will be for the birds, not us. Look for FVV, Bake, and Shaq/Wall to lead the way in this surpass. You know the ole myth of "From 1-12, these redbirds are the most talented." Really? 12-1=11 and Shocks win!!!!!!!!!!! MTXE baybay!!!!!!!!!!!

They are in a 4 way tie for 2nd ... but have lost to all 3 of the teams they are tied with. Doesn't that really make them 5th? On top of that, 2 of the teams they are tied with have played us twice already, and the other once. They haven't gotten their two losses from us yet.

I just found the "2nd place" comment interesting .. Season ended today, they would be 5th I believe (no idea how tie-breakers work in MVC) but find it hard to claim you "tied" with 3 times that you lost to.

This is a game which I really wish we still had Tekele Cotton to dunk the life out of someone. He's had some of his more spectacular dunks against the redbirds. Maybe McDuffie can do that this time.

Illinois State is a bad team. I think SIU is much better. So we'll kill the birds even in their super bowl.
