Notice we win our 11th Valley win on the night 3G gets the awesome 'win record' here at WSU. This is what we like to see. FVV was handing out assists like a parade float throwing out candy. Shaq/Wall had a nice night and FVV should be his best friend the way he gets him the rock. Shaq even wore the towel over his head at the end of the game as FVV likes to do. Was the ball just bouncing SIU's way getting all the rebounds tonight? Yikes!!!

KenPom improves from .9120 to .9151, but our rank remains static at 11 following the W.

I don't get live KenPom numbers, but I know there was a pretty big gap between #11 WSU (.9122 in what I can see) and #10 Maryland (.9175); also another gap to #9 Louisville (.9213). So it's getting tougher to climb in the overall KenPom rankings.

I thought Ron was going to punch Smallpeters with all the grabbing and pushing he was doing. Glad he kept his cool. Until everyone actually has to use their own paychecks to buy their tickets I'm afraid it will be like that-be there, be seen, and beat the traffic home.

Wow, we got outrebounded by 17.

It sucks but so many rebounds were on god awful shots that went long. Our guys were in the right spots. Late in the game Fred go mismatched on a switch and I watched him get his hip into he bigger SIU player. Fred boxed him out like a pro. But the shot from the other guy was so bad it went long and Fred basically had boxed the SIU player out into the rebound.

My rough count was 15 rebounds for SIU on god awful shots.

I was just looking at that. How the heck did we get out-rebounded by 17?!?!


Guess it doesn't matter much when you shoot almost 50% from the field and force 22 turnovers though.

That's how. 22 times SIU had the ball and didn't shoot. That makes it hard to rebound. Then you shoot 50/50 (almost) you again don't get many chances. And like I said, SIU shot so poorly they had many chances and long chances.
