I usually don't include Landry in the PG discussion not because I don't think he can do it but because I've never heard Marshall talk about him as a PG. He looks to have the ability to play positions 1-3.

I'll just leave this here regarding TT. Here is the entire list of players who had a O-rating of less than 90 for a season since 2009-2010 season which is as far back as sports-reference.com goes with efficiency stats. A note on Orupke, his D-rating was the best on the team all 3 years.
First number is O-rating second is D-rating.
Ty Taylor 81.0 96.3
Corey Henderson 86.6 99.0
Derail Green 87.2 97.9
Tyler Richardson 68.1 99.6
Ehimen Orupke(So) 60.9 84.0
Ehimen Orupke(Jr) 81.7 82.5
Ehimen Orupke(Sr) 81.0 89.9
Jerome Hamilton 76.9 94.5

How many of those, and even Fred, were thrust into a starting role and expected to lead a team as intricate and expansive as this one? NONE. Not even Fred. When that much pressure is put on a young player, unless they are really special, they won't perform to expectations. Remember, we all knew he had a year to develop behind Fred. Nobody anticipated he would have to lead the team in the absence of Fred. If you want any other proof in this, just look at the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns. Every year they draft a young QB, thrust him into the spotlight and it turns out horribly. Contrast that with Aaron Rogers, Brock Oswieler, Tom Brady, and virtually every QB taken in the later rounds. No pressure to immediately contribute, and they turn out pretty dang good.
Ty has to develop. He has all the skills. He just wasn't ready yet.People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do. -Isaac Asimov

Here's the whole story:
Ty Taylor II believes in himself. He believes he can be great and he's working on hard to do so. Gregg believes in Ty. He is pushing TTII to reach his potential. TTII does not yet know how to play point. He has time to learn.
Conner knows how to play basketball. He's been blessed by the God's with innate technical ability. It's a skill he has honed since birth. Now Frankamp is trying to understand how to use his masterful brush stokes to create a masterpiece in teamwork. He will get there eventually.
Shamet can play the 1, 2, or 3. HCGM knows it and he's stated it publicly. Knowing that LS could play any of those three positions he leas taught the 2 first so that he could most quickly assimilate and help us win. Shamet is special. He will be as good or better than Fred and Ron. He will play either the 2 or the 1 next year depending on where the most need is.Livin the dream

Landry is the best player of the three mentioned here. Conner has proven he can play at this level. He needs to begin to take some risks, because I've seen glimpses of great play making skills. Ty Taylor still has to prove he belongs at this level but he has shown that he has some hidden talent too. I think that he will have to be a little patient and wait his chance. I don't care if Landry or Conner is the point guard next year. Either will do and Gregg will choose the best one.
