KU fans are not happy. Amazing how much junk they talk even after their team got spanked by WSU. I swear, the Big 12 conference if really the most overrated thing in all of sports. I'll take it all back if they actually do something in the tournament this year... any team other than KU, that is. 'They wouldn't win the Big 12. They don't play anyone. No top 25 teams at home, blah, blah, blah.' 78-65 so STFU already.

I don't know next years schedule yet, but I don't think making it to 47 this year has any reason to be some sort of end to the magical run. We are still going to be much more talented than most (if not all) of the teams we will play, and we've got the best coach in the country. With a couple of breaks, this thing's ending could be a long ways off.

Next year shouldn't end the streak, unless we pick up a big home-and-home that hasn't been announced yet. OU could it end in 17-18 but I don't know if an IBA loss will end the streak or not. Are IBA games included in our current streak?

I learned all I need to know about the typical KU fan when I went over to The Phog after the Iowa State game, to find a thread bemoaning the fact that Hilton Colisseum fans didn't rush the court after beating Kansas. They were genuinely offended at that. Their entire lives are based upon the outcome of a college basketball game, and they truly believe that the rest of the sports world should bow down to them because they are Jayhawk fans. This is not an exaggeration. Needless to say, the wife and I will be taking the northern route to St. Louis, Shocker flags flying high as we go through Lawrence.

Lance Kroll played one season for WSU around 90 I think and his number was 43. I think he was the last to wear that particular number, but no promises.

He was one of Coach Cohen's prized recruits.

Going 9-0 at home in the Valley next year might well be difficult. I fully expect us to win the Valley and be top 50 (hoping for top 25) but running the table can always be tough. This year EU came close; last year Alabama came really close.

So I'll enjoy the ride but not count too far in the future.

Until the nutless bag of wind that coaches them agrees to a Koch/Phog series (not IBA/Sprint) they can all STFU.

I normally am in the camp that undefeated is very unlikely in almost any circumstance. However...

Evansville will fall off a cliff next year.
UNI loses enough that they won't be anything special.
SIU returns a lot, but does lose Beane.
Indiana St. loses Brown and Smith.

Who is going to even make the NIT next year? SIU maybe, other than that, I don't see anyone else who is likely to sniff the NIT. Hopefully 1 other team turns out to be decent, but I don't see anyone giving the Shox much of a challenge except on their best of nights. Next year could be ugly. The Shox probably won't be good enough to survive all 18 games unscathed. Upsets happen. However, I think we can safely say that WSU will be head and shoulders above the rest of the conference, once again.

That place is just BRUTAL to Perry and to Self. They really have never fully embraced Ellis and he's the only reason they don't completely suck. Horrific fan base (yes, internet is a different world). I've never seen anyone on here just destroy a coach or player the way they do. I should stay off that page. :-) Back in the day I actually had a ton of respect for KU, it's history and their teams. It's funny what a fanbase and the internet can do to one's perception.

I agree; we should celebrate this! I remember our loss to Temple which ended one of our long streaks (does anyone recall how long it was?) and it was suddenly heartbreaking due to both the loss and the fact that we didn't appreciate it as much as we should have at the time.
